Abstract
Cybersecurity has been a topic of increasing importance for several years. While fully securing a large and complex system can be very complicated, there are some basic precautions that can easily be applied to any system, and some basic precautions that can be implemented by the users of any system. The purpose of this series is to briefly provide introductory information on recommended cybersecurity precautions for users of HVAC networks that would be helpful to facility staff who have limited expertise in cybersecurity. This column will briefly explore an important aspect of the area of identification and authentication, specifically passwords.Citation
